TOMI Environmental Solutions’ (TOMIES) is affiliated with major restoration companies that utilize UV ozone as a compliment to their water and fire remediation services. We service commercial and residential properties, boats and RV’s. In the event of a fire, disaster or outbreak, TOMIES is both mobile and equipped to treat any indoor environment. |
| The service division is the classic Ozone Man model, which offers an array of inspection, testing and ozone deep cleaning to eliminate smoke, bacteria (including MRSA and C-Diff), allergens, mold spores, pet odors, and the inactivation of viruses (including Swine Flu- H1N1). Any indoor environment is a candidate for TOMIES air remediation Service. |
The TOMIES Ozone Deep Cleaning Treatment
By harnessing ozone, one of the most powerful disinfectants known to man, The Company’s ultraviolet (UV) ozone generators produce the cleanest, byproduct-free ozone available. TOMIES technology is deployed only by its highly trained, certified technicians.
STEP 1
- All areas will be contained
- Ozone will be substituted for indoor oxygen at the location
- Prior to the treatment all PERSONS, PLANTS, AND PETS will be removed
- The level of ozone concentration in the air to be achieved will be at least 10 ppm
STEP 2
- Replace ozonated air equal to outside air
- After the removal of ozone (has a half-life of 20 minutes) the room will be tested
- When Ozone levels are at or below EPA standards (0.05 ppm), individuals may reenter the property
|
Advantages:
- Eliminates smoke, asthma triggers, allergens, Volatile Organic
Compounds (VOC’s), pet dander, dust mites, kills mold spores,
bacteria (including MRSA, VRE, C-Diff and Acinetobacter), inactivates viruses (including "Swine Flu" – H1N1).
- Pure ozone, does not produce toxic by-products
- Non-flammable, does not require an explosive feed gas
- Safe when applied by trained technicians
- Equipment is Portable and Accessible in order to achieve proper concentrations
- Effective for eliminating both surface and air contaminants

FACTS and FIGURES
U.S. Hospital-Acquired Infections (HAIs)
- Currently, 271 people a day - the equivalent of one airline crash - will die from healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) such as Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) infections. www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/87452.php
- According to the Centers for Disease Control:
- Research shows that nearly three quarters of patients' room are contaminated with MRSA and VRE. These bacteria are on cabinets, counter tops, bedrails, bedside tables, and other surfaces. Once patients and caregivers touch these surfaces, their hands become vectors for disease.
- One study showed that when a nurse walks into a room occupied by a patient with MRSA and has no patient contact, but touches objects in the room, the nurse's gloves are contaminated 42% of the time when leaving the room. www.hospitalinfection.org/mrsascreening.shtml
- In 1974, 2 percent of Staph infections were MRSA. By 2003, that number increased to 57 percent.www.hospitalinfection.org/ridbooklet.pdf
- Hospital-acquired infections account for $30.5 billion in excess healthcare costs each year.
The spread of airborne and surface contaminates, which can translate to hospital-acquired infections (HAI), is the leading concern of healthcare institutions.
There are approximately 2 million HAI's annually in the U.S. with a death rate of 100,000 patients. This represents 347 per each hospital. With an average extended stay of 4.3 days, this equates to over $2 million a year in unreimbursed costs to each hospital. Over time, Medicare and private insurance companies will continue to negatively impact hospital reimbursement for HAI's.

TOMIES offers The Ultra-D Room Fogger that is quick, convenient and effective to disinfect an entire room and all of its contents: beds, chairs, walls, laptop computers, ventilators, IV pumps, Pulse OX monitors, and any other sensitive electronics equipment.
|
 |
In addition, The Ultra-D Disinfection Chamber is used to quickly and effectively Ultra-Disinfect all types of small equipment, ventilators, monitors, transport devices like wheelchairs, stretchers, even bassinets or patient beds.
|
|
The use of zone and hydroxyl radicals is the best technology available to eliminate microorganisms in the hospital environment. The efficacy of the disinfection process is 99.9 percent and is an excellent compliment to other disinfection products of TOMIES such as ozone, UVGI and filtration systems.
