Binary Ionization Incorporated (BII), an L-3 company, has dedicated their resources to combat biological threats facing public health and safety by developing a unique disinfection system called SteraMist (BIT®), which utilizes our patented Binary Ionization Technology (BIT®), kills bacteria and other microorganisms, including spores, by applying cold plasma activation to a hydrogen peroxide-based aerosol to create a suite of anti-microbial actives, including Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS).
Studies have been performed on more than a dozen biological agents such as bacteria, bacterial spores, viruses, and molds in airborne environments and on a variety of surfaces. Results have proven its superior efficacy by consistently killing 99.9999% of test microorganisms, a >6 log reduction. SteraMist (BIT®)’s automated cycle provides fast acting, broad spectrum biological disinfection, and leaves no residue or noxious fumes.
